In 90 days, I will:

  • No longer need to find out if a restaurant I want to patronize is smoking or non
  • Not inhale someone else’s cancer
  • Taste the complexity of my adult beverage
  • Not feel the urge to burn my clothes after leaving a bar
  • No longer dig black snot out of my nose
  • Not need to do a happy dance when a new establishment goes non-smoking

My only question is what defines 90 days: 90 days from today is September 11, 2008. Is that the day that PA goes smoke-free?

Just wanted to remind our readers about a couple of settlement websites that have been in the news recently that probably made you go “I’ll need to check that out” but you probably forgot about already.

DeBeers settlement: If you bought any diamonds or jewelry with diamonds from 1994 through 2006, you can get back some of what you paid from the settlement.

Airborne settlement: If you bought and used Airborne products, you can get a full refund for the products if you have a receipt. If not, you can still file a claim for up to six products.
